Out Of The City For A Spell

I got out of the city for a bit. I'm working at Camp IAWAH for a few days.

I didn't have the loveliest experience here in the summer time. Regardless,
it will pay the bills for a few days and give me a chance to take in some
nice nature backdrops.

Music seems to be creeping into my mind - moreso than ever before. Maybe
it's because there are many friends and talented folks who I want to see
get their stuff out there and I want to be able to help them find the tools
to do so. I work here now. Part time. I think it's proving to be a worthwhile
venture on many levels.

I feel like blogging is a bit of a chore now. I don't have the fire for it that I
once possessed.

Apostle Of Hustle is still one of the greatest bands out there. The critical
world of music is in serious arrears. People are fake. Money dictates many
of the daily decisions I make. God is all around me all the time.

I started reading 'The Watchmen'. Unreal. I'm not a comic buff by any means
but it's sucking me into a dark hole of delight and intrigue. I hope the movie
does the incredible story and artwork justice.

Life is alright. You just might be able to find me:
a. cutting down trees
b. in a recording studio just off bank street
c. enjoying life with my wife

Taking Up New Residency

http://www.robwilliams.ca/Ottawa/Downtown/05D-0138X2csm.jpg

My wife and I live in a new town. We are finally out of the niagara
region and into the fertile area of Ottawa. Yes - I grew up in this town
but there is much in the downtown core that I haven't yet explored.
We live very close to the market, Elgin St and Bank but we live in
a quiet enough area that is far removed enough from the wild scene.
Apparently, our neighbourhood is very gay.

Suffice it to say that some things have changed upon moving here.
I did have a part time job upon arrival within the city but now...
I do not. I have a few part time endeavours that could lead to full
time stuff but largely, I am being asked by the One who knows best
to step out and trust that He will provide. It's hard...but it feels right.

I am listening to Soma by the Pumpkins in Bridgehead. Owen and Mat
are looking for jobs. Rozzy the Aussie is walking around with them.
My lovely wife is at school until 5. The sun is shining. Bank Street is
bustling. I am uncertain of many things...but I am peaceful.
